Supervision for Therapists

Supervision is a very important part of a therapist’s work and also the journey that they go on with their clients.  All counsellors attend regular supervision.  Our director Hayley Ryan is a qualified and experienced supervisor.

Hayley Ryan – Qualified Supervisor

(CASCADE Diploma in the Art and Craft of Individual and Group Supervision)

I am a qualified and experienced supervisor. I have supervised therapists in a wide range of settings, including private practice, students in training, eating disorder clinics and general counselling services.

I work creatively with supervisees and aim for them to reflect on the work they do with clients in a supportive and encouraging environment.

I respect the work of my supervisees and work alongside them , rather then instructing them.  I work hard to build an open and respectful relationship with them, where I can challenge them and they feel they can challenge me.

Supervision is about learning, development, understanding and it is a unique and powerful process.  One that is key in the work we do as therapists.  For me it is so important to focus on the supervisee, their feelings, experiences and personal development ,while also understanding the client work that they are doing.

I work individually and I run supervision groups.
